During the May game, Lord Brown was the unfortunate recipient of a puck to the skate, which shattered the holder. Being the keen philanthropist that he is, he did not hesitate in donating the aforementioned boot to the PCOI team, in what can only be considered one of the greatest charitable contributions in the history of mankind.
One of the elder statesmen of the Maryland team (for those without a dictionary close to hand, elder statesman = crotchety old guy), and part time arts and craft enthusiast, by the name of Steve, took the aforementioned boot and thus, Lord Browns Boot was born.
Congratulations to the great state of Maryland, for being the first to capture this honor, but don't get too familiar, for the Commonwealth is poised for victory.
